Gaudí-Inspired Sculpted Wood Glass Double Door

Gaudí-Inspired Sculpted Wood Glass Double Door

A sculptural solid-wood double door defined by flowing curves, generous clear glazing, and richly carved architectural details. Inspired by the organic geometry of Antoni Gaudí and Catalan Modernism, the mirrored composition transforms a functional doorway into an expressive interior feature.

Design & Function

The design replaces conventional straight glazing lines with a continuous sequence of arches, scrolls, and softly carved transitions. When the two leaves are closed, the mirrored timber profiles form a balanced central composition reminiscent of natural growth and Gaudí’s fluid architectural forms.

Generous glass panels preserve daylight and visual connection between adjoining rooms, while the substantial timber frame provides structure, warmth, and a strong sense of craftsmanship. Solid lower panels add protection at floor level and visually anchor the tall glazed composition.

Materials & Construction

Shown with solid timber door leaves, selected natural wood veneer, clear safety glazing, hand-finished sculptural moldings, a coordinated timber frame, and antique brass-toned hardware.

The curved glass openings are framed by layered timber profiles that emphasize depth and shadow. Each decorative transition is carefully shaped to create a continuous visual rhythm across both door leaves.

Final timber species, veneer selection, finish system, glass specification, hardware, handing, and installation details are confirmed for each project before production.
