Shoji-Inspired Wood-Framed Translucent Sliding Doors

Shoji-Inspired Wood-Framed Translucent Sliding Doors

A serene pair of wood-framed sliding doors inspired by traditional shoji screens. Slender vertical latticework and softly translucent panels filter daylight while creating privacy, bringing warmth and architectural rhythm to contemporary interiors.

Design & Function

The two-panel sliding configuration preserves usable floor space and creates a generous opening between rooms. Fine timber divisions give the doors a light, balanced appearance, ideal for studies, tea rooms, bedrooms, dressing rooms, and calm hospitality spaces.

Materials & Construction

Shown with a natural wood-finished frame, precision-made lattice detailing, translucent safety glazing or durable translucent panel inserts, and a coordinated sliding-track system. Final timber species, panel material, track construction, and hardware specification are confirmed for each project before production.
